HISAR: Hiar police have registered a criminal case against two men for allegedly gang-raping a woman in an intoxicating state by drinking with her in a car. The police have started an investigation, but no accused has been arrested so far.
Hisar police said a case had been registered on the complaint of a 35-year-old rape survivor, a resident of Fatehabad, against Barwala residents Virendra Chahar and Rajesh Boora under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the SC/ST Act.
In her complaint to the police, the victim said on December 7 she received a call from Chahar and said he wanted to talk about something in person.
“After this she reached Barwala bus stand at 7pm, where she met Virendra Chahar and Rajesh Boora. Both made her sit in the car and took her to Hansi-Hisar bypass. She alleged that they made her drink beer after which both raped her. The victim said when she regained consciousness and objected to this, both of them used casteist abuses at her and also threatened to kill her.
